Nothing proves that like a top musician sharing the stage (not dominating it) with a kid just to give him a kick upward.

I do not believe Tommy's persona is phony and simply a trade mark, as with so many performers these days. 

We visited Australia where my son and his family live, and all Auzzies are like Tommy. It did help to avoid telling them we were from the USA. We said we were from TEXAS, and they love Texas. Texas and Australia seem like sister nations..... Ooops, well, sister something anyway.

We will visit Tommy Emmanuel again soon.
