The Christian life is not about reaching perfection, but it is not about getting used to being less than what God wants of me.
The Apostle Paul said it this way:
Philippians 3:13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
The issue is, which way are you looking, back at your failures, or on up yonder where the victory is?
Brother Banks, recorded in 1982, sings his experience.
